These are excellent - 1600 x 1200 is pin sharp and the screen is very flat (esp compared to my g96 :) ) - what are u waiting for? :)

92's ??????!!! Are you sure you don't mean P96's ?

:( we were told the wrong model code. Shouldn`t really be a surprise I guess. The 92 is just the older model of the 96 - display quality seems to be similar from what I can see.

If this is anything like the P96 I bought from Kustom, then all I can say is "bargain!" - these are really, really fantastic monitors.

There`s a LianLi PC-70 lurking in the background somewhere there....

Are these brand new and 19" ?

ross

Reconditioned almost new IIRC. Check on IBM's site about 19"

Can't say whether they are new (tho I think Spacemonkey is right) but they are 19" if they are the P96's predecessors, yes. Luurvely flat screen too.

I wish people would stop tempting me with lots of new kit :( I know I have been wanting a monitor for ages now but this is silly :)

I would much prefer the P96 - has a 0.24 grille instead of a 0.25 and can run at 1600 X 1200 @ 85 hz instead of 1600 X 1200 at 75 hz. Graeme is there any chance that your supplier will get either the P76 or P96 in black soon ? Cheers.

Not that .25 aperture is exactly sloppy for a 19" flatscreen CRT! Besides, who *really* runs their monitors at 1600? I find anything above 1280 a bit silly, really. Also, most games etc drop your refresh rate to 60hz or so in-game, no?

No these aren't *quite* as good as a brand new P96, but then they're 300 quid cheaper! For a slightly lower refresh rate at maximum res and a .25 grille, that's not bad going whichever way you cut it. I almost wish I needed another monitor!

I'm coming round to the idea. Its almost impossible to find black monitors, let alone good ones. Does this a flat tube ?

Gordy

ah, don't wait for them
send me the money, and i'll sort it out * :)

* I take no responsibility for actually getting you a monitor, if i do, i do not guarantee that it is bigger than 14" and working

Just to clear up one or two things.

1. These are "near new" monitors, they are factory refurbished by IBM themselves! The reason for this is, a crate will be sent to a company, the company will not sell all of them before a new model comes out, so they send them back and say they were DOA, IBM is quick to label them second hand(probably having never been out the box, other than IBM testing them) and ship them out at near, or below cost value, just to get money back.

2. The monitors are near perfectly flat, they are not quite trinitron flat, but if you look at it from the side, you can see the other side of the tube, I call that flat!

3. Although this wasn't asked, I'm buying one for myself :D I like them so much!

I would if I could spare £260, but unfortunately for the moment I cannot, ;)! Would be nice though to watch all these films I have on a larger monitor... guess I will keep dreaming of the Sony FW-900, :D
