gwasshoppa, when man drive car too fast and do not know what he is doing, car cwash. or something, are you overclocking? it can be any number of things, mem timing, fsb, anything. try clocking things down

Windoze eh?? - hmm, great innit, how I love the stability it provides! Maybe if you ain't overclocking or anything, and your install is quite old, it could be time for a fresh install - has worked for me in the past when I've had problems. Other than that I dunno cos I try to avoid windoze wherever possible ;o)

i have been told it is my psu is not power full enough, if i got a 450w (now a 300w) will it do any damage to my hardware

NO. it will only increase the available power to the components, meaning that there will be spare power sloshing about for anything that needs it. it will not damage your system(unless you go about plugging 5v stuff into 12v, but youd need to change the connectors to do that)

HUH?

You mean those connectors aren't supposed to fit together???

oops! I wondered where that burning smell was coming from! :(

no! you ARE supposed to plug them in - if you didn't that componont whould not get any power!!!

1.TURN OFF YOUR PC
2. open your case. pull the power plug (small whiteish one with FOUR thick wires coming out of it) and LOOK at the edge. do you see the two flattened corners? that is why you cannot insert the plug the wrong way round...
Also look at the thing you unplugged - see the matching flats on the corners?

(realisation should now dawn)

now you'll probably be called a n00b13 for this, but anyways..... ;)

oh yeah - and the real purpose of me posting....

download and install the latest motherboard and graphics card drivers, and see what that does. if it's worse, use the "rollback driver" feature on WinXP (gcard: right click on your desktop, go to properties. settings. advanced (at the bottom). adapter. properties. driver. third button down, rollback driver. next, restart. MoBo: download older drivers, and install)

give that a go! ;)

and if in winxp, it comes up when you boot after a crash, check the details of the error, it can tell you what may of gone wrong. post it up!
:D

Actually my last post was intended as a joke!

Not a particularly funny joke, I have to admit, but a joke nonetheless!
