Hello people, I am writing because a fellow member of these forums (Muddyfox470, if you know him), recommended using chilled Coca-Cola rather than water in my cooling system, after I requested his advice.

He claimed in a PM sent to me yesterday, that Coca-Cola has a higher specific heat capacity than water (A Level Physics term there!!!), hence meaning that it doesn't heat up quite as quickly. Therefore he said that it was a more effective coolant.

So I asked someone else on here (edavies87 - the one with him holding a lightsabre avatar), and he said muddyfox470 was talking nonsense!?!?!?!?!?!

Personally I doubt these shenanigans, but I'm just checking - it isn't true is it?

Water has the highest heat transfer ratio known, however, you can add a few things to thin it down (ie, a tiny bit washing up liquid will remove the miniscus), thus giving it better CONTACT with the rad and blocks.

tbh, I severaly doubt coke will fair better- although it'd be interesting to try and find out for sure.

Apparently, they are removing the word 'gullible' from the dictionary.
