View Full Version : Fan Controllers for a WaveMaster
Looking to by a fan controller for my Cooler Master WaveMaster case but due to the front door a fan controller with manual knobs to adjust fan speed wont fit in flush to the case. What fan controllers would people recomend? Especialy interested in what other WaveMaster owners have to say.
Thanks

I would recommend the Aerogate 3 or Musketeer 2.
Both dont have huge knobs sticking out and are coolermaster products therefore they are pretty much guarenteed to fit all of thier cases.
I have a Wavemaster but I never bothered with a fan controller, no need really, all my 80mm Akasa Fans have manual controls on them and my PSU and Liquid Cooling Unit fans both have built in controllers.
My brother has an Aerogate 2 and it's a pretty nice peice of kit
Thanks for your help.
The Aerogate 3 looks the best out of those 2 but its still no exactly what i wanted. I'll have a look round and see if theres anything a bit more suited to me.
Thanks Again

Hi mate. I'm using an Akasa FC-03 in a Thermaltake Tsunami case, which I believe is very similar to a Wavemaster. The front door wont quite close because the two knobs on the controller nearest the door locking mechanism foul on the inside on the door casing. The controller is great and I'm reluctant to swap it, so I'm looking to change the knobs for smaller ones (makes a change for a bloke to want a smaller knob :) ) Maplin do a ton of them, but i don't know how to get the originals off withouth wrecking anything.... Perhaps you could consider going down the same route.

The Aerocool Gatewatch (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_2933.html) (also available in black) is another controller which fits behind a case door no problem... and it has a whole host of features/functions

But it doesn't fit inside a lian-li front panel :(
I should probably really sell mine!

What do you mean "front panel" It fits in 2x 5.25" drive bays?
Ot were you wanting to mod one into the area where the front intake fan normally is
Nope it dont fit in the front 2 5.25" bays, the front 'cover' of the lian-li won't 'press' on over the top, it it about 4mm to wide, and it's solid steel so not really much choice with regards to adjusting. :(
