Philips 1610 CD burner crashes

My philips 1610 cd burner from kustom has decided that it does not want to work properly with my machine.

I will beat it to death if I do not get it to run on either win98se or winme, with EZCD creator or Nero 5.5.2.0.

If you do not comply in giving me support I will be forced to run away, never to be seen again. (an no craig, i didn't mean it)

it will burn audio cds in nero but nothing else, just blu screens once burning has started (nero) or a blank screen at 19%.

well, we tested the drive for you and confirmed it work ok, so that rules out one thing...

How much RAM do you have in you system!

If it has 64mb RAM it will probably crash because of that. It will have worked at Kustom though because thay had minimum devices plugged in.

try shutting down everything but the burn prog. that should free up some memory. or buy some morememory. i find that cds work better if you arent running anything else at the same time as burning
