I have just put a system together using this card. If I use an normal monitor everything is fine, if I use the TV s vid out into either my TV or my Sony digital walkman I get diagonal lines running across the TV screen.

If I change S vbid leads no fifferenc3e
If I run from a seperate ring main to the PC than the TV no difference
If I move the PC away from the TV no difference.
IF I play asignal from another SVid device to the TV s vid input no problem.
Any cluse out there.?
Inverters were added after this, and no change.

I get this with just the fans on the CPU's 2x XP1900's and a fan on the DDR ram Th4ermaltake unit.

Tried athis question on another forum, and wondered if anyone on this site has had a problem, or has any ideas.

It is also there when fed through the video unit to the TV.

Any tips appreciated, whilst it is not a major problem for general use - it is a P****R when you come to watch DVD' sfrom it.

Any help seriously appreciated.

ermm, a bit messed up but i might be able to help.

Just need to clarify something, are you trying to connect a tv to watch dvd's through and have the monitor for windows. IF it appears black and white through a scart lead, it is to stop people copying to video tape. If you want to watch dvd's you need to put it through an s/video phono cable (on the front - on my sony tv).

more help later, but questions needing answered.

I have now solved my problem - for information I was sending S vid out from the card into EXT 3 4 pin DIN socket. Bad interference.

I have just received a SCART to Svid cable, and use it on the SCART EXT 2 - no intereference - no problems.

Not sure why, but I have a good image at both 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 or whatever it is.

I did try another card and had the same problem.

The TV set is a JVC 25" unit a few years old now, but will have to do for some time.

Maybe this will be of use to someone else one day.

Thanks for your input folks - appreciated.

Now I reckon a TombRaider DVD is required for a full celebration. <vbg>
