View Full Version : OT - Direct3D/Windows XP/KyroII 4500/Unreal Tournament
I can't make UT run with hardware support under XP on my 3D Prophet 4500/TVOut.
I have XP drivers for the card off hercules.com, and I also tried the W2K drivers. Every time, I see the tunnel in the intro for a second or two, before getting a spectacular D3D error. Any ideas please?
right click on the x:\UnrealTournament\SYSTEM\UNREALTOURNAMENT.EXE subdirectory
Click on Properties - Compatibility
Check the 'Run this proogram in compatibility mode for:' box and select Windows 98
I dont think this will make any difference, but it may do (fingers crossed)
I think it will be something to do with either your drivers still, or the graphics settings within UnrealTournament. Is it possible to run it in OpenGL instead of Direct3D on your AGP card? You could try that instead

I am not sure if your card will let you but try using OpenGl instead of D3D. This what i did with my Geforce 2 MX 400.
In some cases Open Gl is faster
