ok i went down the watercooling track and it wasnt for me, at the moment i have a thermaltake tsunami case, with 1 9cm fan on the side and the standard amd cooler on my amd 64 3400+

theres supposed to be a front and rear 120mm fan i removed them as they were standard thermaltake fans and wernt the quietest

heres a link to the standard thermaltake tsunami dream case with fan specs

http://thermaltake.com/xaserCase/tsunami/swa/swa.htm

i want if possible a cpu fan that will just replace the old one ive had a fan on the other board which u take the board out and the retention braket and mount it like that.

also i want 2x 120mm fans for the front and rear, and if possible a nice UV reactive one to replace the 9cm one on the side, i dont mind spending money as its going to a good cause ( kustom )

cheers people, any advice reccomendations appreciated

regards andy

It's not clear exactly what kind of "advice" you're wanting

So let me start by asking: What was wrong with the standard 120mm case fans?

If they were too loud... choose one or other of the quiet fans Kustom sell (e.g. the 120mm Akasa Ultra Quiet Amber Case Fan - which is currently OOS unfortunately).

If they were just not 'bling' enough... consider a 120mm (UV) Blackfire fan - which are also OOS at the moment

The same applies for the 92mm in the side window. Quiet or 'bling'? The Akasa's are quieter... the Blackfire's are more 'bling' (and they're UV  ).

Quiet? 'Bling'? The choice is yours... and yours alone to make.

What other "advice" do you want/need?

Fireblade, how loud are the blackfire, the specs are obviously too good to be true, just wondering whether they would be quieter than my panaflo fans....

I couldn't tell ya Dom. I haven't fitted the ones I've bought yet (they're going in a new rig)

the specs are obviously too good to be true

Why do you say that

i just can't see how they can get better performance at lower noise than the panaflo without a major design change which they don't seem to have.... I would really like to be proved wrong as I quite fancy some led fans but have always been put off by the noise. I used to have some good CM ones but ended up having to low volt them because of noise, at which point the brightness was crap...

let me know what you think once they're in matey...

Will do... but somebody else who's using Blackfire's will hopefully be able t' answer ye before that?

Failing that... email Graeme/the sales team/ They'll give ya an honest, unbiased opinion ;)
