Hey guys...
I was wondering if I could get better temps by taking a duct, and basically funneling the air down onto my heatsink. I have a 120 mounted over my CPU, and I figured that if I concetrated the air on a smaller output area, the cooling would be better. Is that so? If so, where would I get said duct?

I didn't use a duct but I did use a 120mm-80mm adapter bolted to my fan (the fan was mounted on a Zalamn bracket) and it dropped my CPU temps.

Not sure if it was to do with the increase in pressure as the air is funneled through the hole or the removal of the 'dead spot' under the centre of the fan.

Either way, it helped.

I have the same Zalman bracket, and I am glad to know that it works. How much of a drop in temps did you get? And where did you get the adapter?

Trick question? :)

Here (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_3721.html) with some other bits and pieces.

Temp drop was ~3-4°C @ load if I remember correctly.

Well, sorry if it sounded stupid...I didn't know if you could pick one up at a local hardware store or something...kinda figured I could find it at some computer store somewhere...like Kustom...

I can't say that I've seen 120-80mm adapters in shops, plenty of 80-60mm. Not saying that they aren't available.

No need to apologise I just thought it was funny asking that on Kustoms website. :)
