Please see my signiture for my system specs.
I've had to lower my overclock down to 3824Mhz (239FSB) @ 1.425V because i was having problems when playing Painkiller.
The problem is that when im playing it, it would suddenly just close and return me to my desktop. It wouldnt freeze or anything anbd system would still be running fine. This doesnt happen all the time but sometimes.
My system is stable at 4.0Ghz. Ive ran superpie 32M test a number of times and not once has it frozen.
I've ran 3dmark03 a number of times and it wouldnt not cause any problems.
Basically, it runs without any hick-ups and was running flawlessly until i strated to play painkiller. Like i said the game runs perfectly and i dont have any problems when im playing it, its just that it would close on me and return me to my desktop.
I'm giving my prescott 1.5875V to get it stable at 4.0Ghz (this was determined after testing and benchies over a number of days). It simply is not stable at lower voltage that this.
Giving DDR 2.85V and its at stock settings
AGP is getting 1.6V
Temperatures for CPU are:
Idle: 39-41*C
Load: 48-53*C
As you can see the temps are fine and nothing to worry about.
Since ive lowered the OC the cpu idles at 34-38*C and under load its 44-46*C and painkilelr does not shut down itself.
I know this isnt a GPU issue because the GPU runs fine at 3824MHz.
Im wondering weather me giving it 1.5875V is causing the problem.....
