I bought a D-Link DBT-120 bluetooth adaptor to allow me to use activesync over BT.

Followed the installation instructions, and all seems to go well. However, I cannot start the 'Bluetooth Configuration Wizard'. I get an icon in the systray which informs me that 'Bluetooth device not found'.

It is plugged in ok (pwr led is lit anyway) and as far as I can tell the drivers installed ok. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers, but there is no change.

I'm running WinXP SP2, installed from scratch today, by coincidence (sp?).

Anyone got any ideas?

I use a dongle for sync-ing with my mobile phone and XPS2 is causing no problems with it.

My friend was having problems with his bluetooth device. He was running sp2, and got it to work after "removing Bluetooth support"

yeah, i have one of these and it wouldnt work under SP2 (desktop), but would install properly under SP1, so is definatly a SP2 error. try the link above.

I have been having probs getting my Aviator dongle working with xp pro and sp2 i found this solution similiar to the reply above it seems xp sees my dongle as bluetooth radio or enumerater therefore does not see bluetooth device at all so it will never work.
However if you follow the instuctions it will let you select the bluetooth device you have connected making it default.
This works for any type of bluetooth hardware just select your piece of hardware from list.

Hope this helps worked for me lmk how you get on.

Gave up on nokia pc siute though did my head in just browse the phone via the dongle and drag n drop files into folders no need for the nokia software.

PS.
Wasnt sure if live links aloud.
