as has been discussed many a time...

AMD is better than Pentium4 for games

Pentium's are better for video editing etc.

You'd be wanting the AMD...

Something like:- AMD 3500+ about =190
ASUS mobo A8N(1 with SLI+PCI-X) about =115
PSU (650w)-(Graphics recom. 450w+) about =30
Got x2 512 Corsair(value) DDR400
(Use out of old tower)
Poss. Coolermaster tower about =90
THEN!! PCI-x N-Videa 6800 ULTRA! about =400

Sound like it will do its gaming job, good enough??
Leaving everything as it is,without any overclocking..would there be any need for extra cooling???

Don't skimp on the PSU. If it's cheap, and it blows, and it takes say, you motherboard with it, you're gonna be annoyed you didn't pay a little extra for the reliability you get with the more expensive PSU's. I know I wouldn't trust that sort of kit with that PSU.

Antec/Tagan/ etc.

Stick with the well known brands. They're expensive for a reason.
