Worthwhile Upgrades ???

My current system specifications are as follows:

AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (1.667GHz) (266MHz FSB)
1GB DDR RAM (PC2700, so will run at 333Mhz)
GeForce 4 Ti 4800 SE (128Mb Version)
Shuttle SN41G2 Case & Mobo

Which should i upgrade in order to acheive better performance in games? Is my CPU slowing stuff down?? I tried a Radeon 9700Pro in my machine the other day, borrowed it off a mate and it doesent give me much extra performance at all!
The only thing i can think of is my CPU needs upgrading? XP3000 or 3200 maybee??

A) Upgrade CPU
B) Upgrade Graphics Card
C) Other???

which would you do?

i think uve answered the question in your post.. if uve tryed a better graphics card and not noticed any poformance improvement then id upgrade the processer first... 2000+ is a bit old now i guess, what skt is it?.

XP2000+'s were/are Skt A.

So yeah... upgrading to a Skt 939 mobo and CPU would pro'ly be yer best bet now ;)

upgrading to s939 from that will be a huge upgrade.. i noticed a performance boost from my 2500+ mobile... so you definatley will :)
