Hi,

Anyone tried the Acoustifans as sold on this site?
They get a good review, I was wondering if they shifted a lot of air?
I was going to locate the temp probes on the CPU heatsink so when the CPU got hot the fans would speed up, is this a good idea?

Thanks

Dave

Not sure about the temp probes bit, but they do shift more air than the silenx ones do.

This could be ideal for ya as an alternative if you want the fans to monitor the temps:

SilenX 80mm Thermistor Fan

Dont look as good though :(

The temp probe relocation would work, asusming itll reach, I've never used or seen the acustifans...

Don't forget to try the probe in various locations tho, to find the best noise/temp balence...

Thanks guys.

I basically want fans that only spin up when it gets hot in the box. They are going in a small box afterall. I will try the probe in different locations though, that sounds like a good idea.
