Ok, I want to add a pretty display to my IPCop server, to show uptime, up/down speeds, that kind of thing.
- The case itself is 2u high, so it has to fit into one 5 1/4" bay - but I want the maximum display area possible. It might just be an aesthetic thing, but the 16x2 sized displays all look too small in a large bay. I know it's due to the PCB size, but...
- Given that it's just for IPCop, I probably don't need a keypad etc - that said, I wonder if there's a way of making the display cycle through different readouts after a specific time interval (say, 10secs)?
- I'd prefer one I could attach to the internal USB header (no ugly cables out the back for me).
- At least one GPO would be nice, since I've got a spare lan LED header on the front panel that isn't being used.
As you can tell, complete newb when it comes to this, so does anyone have any recommendations?
