Hey Ya

Maybe you should add a fortlift truck to that list, because that's going tobe one heary laptop, plus I would buy a nuclear power plant so you can use is for more than ten seconds because the battery life is going to be crap!

Other than the two jokes I said, that is about the BEST laptop ever! Good luck!

See Ya!

Yes, save yourself some money & buy a non-Alienware notebook. Overpriced equipment and all that you are paying for really is a silly bright colour desktop PC in a carrycase. Don't expect to be able to run it off of the battery for much more than about 20 minutes or so.

I have seen the ALienware range and was not impressed at all by them for the components that they use. The only think unique about them is the cases and that alone is not worth the extra money.

hey don't diss Alienware, they may be expensive but you get what you pay for and nothing competes with them. They will last longer and they do perform amazingly, also very gorgeous! I would say go for it cos you won't regret it, I'll be buying my new Alienware laptop next year when I save up and I'm also going to get an Alienware PC with Video Array and you can't get that performance ANYWHERE else, they invented it!

Cod Ball wana add a comment?

Aren't both the Alienware & SavRow laptops just Sagers in drag?
They are certainly bought in & badged.

Alienware in my opinion get the job done, everything i have tried on it works very well. so i am very pleased with it :p i would definately urge people to buy them even if they are very expensive.
Like said before the price reflects the laptops potential and so they are very good Tom_Liverpool14 that one your thinking of getting is too good lol, but the problem with it is that it will drain the battery extremily fast so you'll need to keep it on charge. If you do get it i hope you enjoy it i am deffinately enjoying mine
i am glad to here some people here encouraging Alienwares

What?! Alienwares arent bought in & badged - I dont quite get what you mean, have ever seen one? *unique* as it were. (I think this is what you mean

You get a manual/book thing that gives all this info about who put it together and tested it etc - as far as im aware they arent as mass produced as other 'tops..

Alienware laptops basic chassis most certainly are bought in - they simply aren't big enough to make their own. Something like 90% of the world's laptop production are made by 3 companies in the far east. Dell, HP etc all buy from them.

edit: apart from the moulded plastic top panel does this look familiar?
Look at the port configuration specs. etc.

Alienware in my opinion get the job done, everything i have tried on it works very well. I could say the same thing about my Compaq.

You really desperately need portable gaming that much?

Personally I'd buy a proper PC and a cheap lappy for the same money.

EDIT: And if you do buy it, don't forget to cover it separately on your / your parent's house insurance.

Apart from the top panel on the back of the screen it looks exactly like an Alienware Area 51m-7700.
& there is a very good reason for that ;)
The dimensions are the same, the weight is the same, the hardware specs are the same.

Can't post a link due to forum rules but where would you expect to find an Alienware Area 51m-7700? & yes it is on their UK site. :D

Apparently the chassis actually comes from a company called Clevo - Rock Direct & AJP use it too.
