Hi everyone,

I've been surfing around this forum today and must say its great. I've picked up loads of tips already!

Anyways, being a bit of a newbie I could use some advice on a system I want to build (first time  ). I already have an ATX case, 350w PSU, DVD/CDRW drive. So basically looking for

Motherboard
Processor
Graphics Card
Sound Card
Hard Drive

It will mainly be used for music but with a few games thrown in (mostly Champ Man with a few fps's too). I was also considering putting Linux and Windows on different partisions on there.

My budget is about £300-£350. Any suggestions on what I should be looking at?

Thanks in advance.

First of all... welcome t' the forums Devil ;)

As for suggestions... undoubtedly the best one would be to send that same info in an email to the Kustom PC's sales team - sales@kustompcs.co.uk.

They'll subsequently advise ya on what's available/best suited to yur needs and budget ;)

yup welcome...

you would probably not need a soundcard as most motherboards have one built in...

like Fireblade says... email the shop with your budget and needs and they will sort you out.

Cheers guys.

I'll drop them an email. I've only previously had 'off the shelf' machines inherited from various people (hence the bits and pieces I've already got!). This is my first venture into building my own!

Thanks for the help

Be aware that you might have to go over budget, but remember with computers you can often get alot more by going only a little over budget...

Better to spend more money than you wanted that have a 2nd class computer...

Yeah, Kustom got back to me (very quickly I might add - impressed). Probably going to go over budget but it will be worth it!
