View Full Version : CD cable
Anybody know where i can lay my hands on a long cable that goes from the CD to the sound card ?. I have a couple of standard ones but they stretch right accross the case so i wanted a longer one that i could hide away.
Is it a simple case of soldering? or would that screw up the sound ?
cheers in advance.
why do you actually need one? Unless its a seriously old system its useless
so i can play CDs through my computer ?
The IDE cable will do the job just fine...

You sometimes have to set it to play digitally.
On the properties of the drive make sure "Enable digital CD audio from the CD-ROM device", thats on windows xp.
But just so you know in future, any soldering will maim the sound quality...
