Oh well, after 15 years at the same company, Im finally getting out of here (Made redundant). The payoff is OK (Time for some toys, methinks), But Im not sure what I'm going to do now :(

Seriously though, unlucky on the redundancy, but good look in finding a new path.

You want to do same thing or you after a change?

Been made redundant twice in the past and both times it's been an absolute god-send ;) chin up and onto pastures new and more lucrative!

I am another one who found redundancy to be a blessing rather than a curse! I would probably gone all the way to retirement in the same place and quite possibly in the same position. Hundreds had before me! Being unemployed was crap, but I backed myself to succeed and once confident in my own abilities, it was easier to convince others. It suited me to stick with what I knew, and I think I was more attractive to employers becuase they didn't have to shell out lots of cash training me. Good luck, and don't spend too much of that redundancy cash frivolously!

My dad was made redundant in 1996 and it has changed him for the better beyond belief :)

He has started his IFA company up and started in our dining room and now he has merged companies and has 6 staff and big offices :) I am so proud of his achievements it is untrue :) he really turned his life around and our family so much better :)

His gone from 18hr days to 12hrs but takes more holidays with my mum (usually weekend breaks) and spends more time at home :)

He was really stressed but now is calm and collected and stressed like 0.000000000002% of what he was :)

Soooo as the other people said chin up and its all gravy d00d :D

Releash a new challenge :)
