i can view various tutorials online which are in the flash format but there is no sound - can there be something wrong with my config somewhere as sound is ok on all other formats ie wmp 10, quicktime etc- -- i can only view these tutorials using flash format and i am pulling my hair out!! -can anyone out there help ??-i am running win xp home with sp1

try right clicking the flash whilst playing and going into settings, you might have sound turned off for some reason
Dont suppose you have getright installed do you?

dunc-thanks for replying-i tried the settings option but couldnt see any means of enabling/disabling sound & no i dont have get right installed but will google for it now!=much obliged meantime and any more hints/

no, dont bother googling for getright, thats would have been a possible cause of the problem..
have a look in the volume controls for windows, check if anything is muted that shouldnt be.

ive just realised ive got onboard sound- not a soundcard- could this have any bearing???
