Black CD-R media

Drive: Pioneer DVR-107D DVD-R/RW CD-R/RW Writer

My mate gave me a few Traxdata Black 40x CD-Rs to burn mp3s to it but during data verification it fails.

Now any CD I burn, whether it be a ISO/mp3/data on a non-black CD-R doesn't work as I get data verification problems.

Has it permanently damaged my drive?

Try turning verify data off in the burning software. I doubt that the media has caused a hardware failure (I have used black based media with no problems in the past for burning audio to use in an older cd head unit that would only read black based cdr's or originals).

Was an ASPI problem :)
