Yep 3D Mark 2005 is coming!

3DMark05 Minimum System Recommendations/Requirements:

* DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapter with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 or later, and graphics memory of 128 MB or above.
* x86 compatible processor with SSE support, 2GHz or above
* 512 MB system memory or more.
* 1.5 GB of free hard disk space.
* Windows 2000 or XP operating system with the latest Service Packs and updates installed.
* DirectX 9.0c runtime installed with the latest updates.
* Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 installed, for some 3DMark functionality.
* Microsoft Excel 2000, 2003 or XP, for some 3DMark05 Pro functionality.
* Microsoft DirectX 9 Summer Update 2004 System Development Kit is required to run the image quality test using the reference rasterizer (3DMark05 Pro).

First non-optimised run for me got 4477 with a CPU score of 4434. The CPU tests are particularly painful to watch.....

i need to do a lot of tweaking..my cpu seems a little low

but yep..its damn painful..7.5fps on that forest one..i couldnt watch :eek:

I dont think my current setup could even run it TBH as it doesnt meet the minimum system requirements. Im looking to upgrade in the near future though so i will then see my brand new decent hardware ripped to shreds!

I get around 2,500. (thoroughbred 2400+ with slight overclock, 9800np running at pro)

Pretty graphics :) Just wish the cpu test ran at more than 2fps ;)

looking at "compare" same as you [8.07 hotfix], I take it your sig is outa date as it says 3.2EE :)

can't really overclock the 3.4EE in shuttle as max volts is only 1.5875 :(

Yep - just got the 3.4ee :)

Overclocking mine to 3.75 on 1.5875 no bother so go for it ;)

Am changing tho back to a midi system so I can push a few more volts an try for 4 Gig... :D

tbh as 05 is mostly GPU bound the overclock doesn't make much difference anyways..

I give up with it! When my computer starts not hacking the latest games in full graphics, etc and starts to lag then I'll think about changing the graphics card! Quite content for now!

3400 ain't a bad score though! I got the latest ATI drivers too :o

not that it counts but i only get 400 more cpu score with my a64..i dont think it makes that much of a difference tbh..i only went up about...300 points in 03 you may only go up about 200 or so :rolleyes:

too many people worry about these stupid benchmarks!

They are great to see how much a new card makes a difference but to be constantly like 'i just need 2 or 3 more points out of it and i must die trying' is a lil OTT
