I have an Advent 3512 Computer and the on/off switch on the front panel is not always working correctly, it takes many pushes to switch on sometimes.
Any ideas on a repair or where I can get a replacement front panel?
Many thanks

Have you had the front off t' check the switch? It sounds like iit's just worked itself loose over time, and pro'ly just needs tightening up again?
Yer local computer shop will undoubtedly be able t' sort it out for ya, if ye're not confident enough to strip it yerself. Just check how much they'll charge first!
Failing that... are you UK based? And can you confirm it's made by Hewlett Packard? I'm just going on recollection of the 'Advent' name?
An email/phone call to HP (http://welcome.hp.com/country/uk/en/contact_us.html) themselves might be yer best bet? Even if they can't supply a replacement front (it's a fairly old model now, right?), they might be able to advise you of someone who can ;)
The Advent line is made by TriGem, a Dutch company, not HP.
The simple answer is no, I don't think they really use those cases anymore. Chances are you bought it from PCW, go see them if your warranty is in effect still. If not, you can probably get it serviced either there or somewhere else. Are you sure it's the switch not the connection...? The 3512 button is barely worth calling a button lol...

Thanks fellas, I guess it is time to get unscrewing and giving it a good kick. Yes it was from PCW but it suits me fine. General idea is that the switch has come adrift.....we shall see. If not I will just buy a new case and swap it all over.
