Hey guys
Changed my mobo for a new one, and now the idle temp of my CPU has gone from 38 to 44, I can only think that I didn't put on a enough heatsink compound!
True or false? :))
What mobo did you have and what have you noe cause asus mobos always have a higher temp cause its taken from the core

Asus boards have always read temps higher than what they are , but it is nothing to do with reading from the 'core' itself. The Asus Monitoring software will also read upto 15-20F higher than what others will report on the same board.
also if the temp is higher it wont be due to there being not enough thermal compound but may be that there is too much!

Don't forget the weather is very warm so ambient temps will increase due to this, which won;t help.
