I recently bought an Antec Sonata case, and have bought an extra fan to go in the front mounts. However, having clipped off the whole front panel, I couldnt find the mounts. I continued to remove the lower portion of the front panel. I'm still confused as to where the mounts are for my 120mm fan that I have bought. Please help :)

It mounts onto the screw mounts you can see here:

You have to remove the hard drive trays to install the fan.

aha thanks! Is this effective though? Seems odd, usually the fan is placed 'before' the hdds, so it can blow over them - thats very odd.

Also, I have had a 120mm blowhole put in the top, and one in the side panel, to blow on my gfx card. I assume the best combo would be to have the back and top fans as outtakes, and the front and the side as intakes to keep the air pressure balanced.

Any recommendations on this?

push or pull, doesnt really matter, still going to move air over the drives.

For the other case fans i would do as you just said, top and rear as exhausts. :)

Usually it is easier to pull air through an obstructed path than to blow air through it. The end result will still be to cause air to be drawn across the drives, thereby cooling them.
