On my dad's machine, we have a user account for each member of the family, and we just log off when we've finished. However, sometimes when we press the log off button, the computer just reboots, without even shutting down it would seem. Its pretty random too, and can be really annoying when someone is already logged on and in the middle of something, cos they lose the work they've been doing!
Anyone with any ideas why this might be happening? Its virtually impossible to google, typing in "log off restart" or similar just produces loads of windows feature sites and so on. The closest I've found is a reference to Norton Antivirus, which we have, but that says that the log off/power down/reboot options simply don't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers,
