ATi Remote Wonder

OK.....in the system I got back in my flat, it has a 9800SE AIW with an Audigy2 powering a set off analogue Creative 5.1 speakers.

I used to own a 9600pro AIW and the remote would be able to work adjusting the volume. Back then it was only a Soundblaster Live! 5.1 card with 2 desktop speakers.

Now with my current config, the remote doesn't work for volume control!!! Every other button functions work fine, just not volume + or -!!!

I've reinstalled the correct drivers many times, but still no good.

Anyone know how to fix this? Or is it because my 5.1 speaker setup has an external volume knob so the remote won't work?

Not at all........:(

The only way I do it know is to get off the bed and walk up to the volume control knob to adjust it, or move the mouse pointer with the remote directional pad to the volume control in say WMP and click on it there.

If I recall correctly, when I installed my Shuttle IR remote, that didn't adjust my system volume as well, that's why its now in the drawer.
