Splitting a ADSL Connection 50/50

I recently bought a Netgear DG834 and it works flawlessly, however im wonderin if there is a way to limit bandwidth to a pc beacause if one pc is downloading then the internet grinds to a halt on the other one(well it doesnt really grind to a halt but webpages load really slow and online gaming is a big NO NO). i would idealy like to just split the connection 50/50 between the 2 pcs, anyone know how you would do this?

You could install netlimiter on both PC's and set it to half the total bandwidth on each PC. Google for netlimiter. This is an inexpensive software solution, a router that shares the connection would be very expensive.
