There is a patch to fix this graphics problem and ive installed it but it still has no effect. Basically the buildings etc dont appear with the detail until you stand in front of them and wait a sec or two, so stuff just appears from no where at times.
Anyone found a way to fix this?

yeah, you need to go to options and put the fram rate limiter on.

unfortunately this means you can only get 30Fps, buts its the only way i know of to fix it.

What version of the Cat drivers are you using? I'm not 100% sure, but i believe this issuse was adressed by ATI in one of thier driver releases.

I've had these problems when I updated to 1.1 or whatever the latest Vice City patch is. I also get sound problems... only since I put my soundcard in though... kinda sucks. I asked a load of people what I could do and I didn't get any answers that actually worked. Sorting the frame rate out didn't help me at all either!

If you play VC online too its worse lol!

Also your saved game refuse to load (well with me anyway) if you leave the frame limiter off. It's caused me loads of hassle!!! Best to leave it on.

Sounds like a quality PS2 to PC conversion, I must try it some time

Have to agree with Nick. LOADS better on the PC than any console. Lets just hope the new GTA (out around Christmas) will have all the problems ironed out before it's release... keep dreaming lol!
