Which is the best CPU Cooler to use with the AMD 1800+ on a Abit KR7A-RAID.
i would like it to be under £30 as well.

Volcano 7 is a good all rounder - not too loud, and reasonably powerful. It's what we're using in most of our rigs just now

yea i was looking at that but read quite a few bad reviews of it. However the ThermoEngine V60-4225 seems pritty good?
i dont serpose that it comes with a shim included as i heard that the ThermoEngine V60-4210 does?
try a coolermaster HHC-001 :D :D

the volcano 7+ is the best cooler out there... had a recent competition with my mates... and it even cools better than the alpha pal 8045 and the swiftech :D
it can cool an XP upto 2600 :D and a P4 upto 3GHz :D
now thats future proof :D
but i dont think they sell them anywhere yet tho :(
i've also got the volcano 7 and it kept my XP1600 @ XP1900 under 40C at all times (including load)....
so go get one :D
I use a thermoengine V60 on mine - quiet and cool! and quite cheap too
ive got an alpha 8045 with a delta fan
1900xp up too 1.8 idle temps around 40 load about 43...........screws directly on to mobo and none of the evil clip crap.....one thing though i wouldnt buy anything less that a 80mm cpu cooler

if you don't care about noise, get an alpha PAL 8045 link (http://www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk/productinfo.php?codeid=8) with a Delta 80mm Screamer (80CFM) link (http://www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk/productinfo.php?codeid=8) strapped to it

Graeme, will Thermaltake Smart Case Fan 80mm (that is also used on the volcano 7) work with any heat sink?
