Same CD Code work on LAM ????

Im gonna set up a mini lan with some mates using there pcs and mine but one mate is short of a gaming spec pc. Now if we are on a lan and he were to use my dads pc , which has my games installed with the same cd-code as me would he still be able to play at the same time as me ??

depends on the game. Some will, some won't. For example, Halo, C&C Generals, BF 'Nam won't.

yeh if u try to play any of the C&C series it will have seemed to work but about 10 seconds into the game .. all buildings blow up to the 2 people with the same code :p .. (found that out the hardway) :P

some game will accept same codes like. sof2, ofp

The games we will be playing will be CoD , Doom 3 and MoHAA :)

Suppose if it doesnt work i can always borrow another mates whos not theres CD key :D

Im sure CoD and MOHAA will work, but I havent played Doom3 on LAN, so I dont know. But I can say the Cod and MOHAA will definatley work.

I may be talking completely out of my hole, but I seem to remember somebody telling me that HL can be played with up to 4 machines per code so long as they were on a LAN. I'm sure somebody wil correct me or whatever....

u are correct .. hl codes only are checked for online play

Doom 3 is out on friday , im having my mini LAN on saturday , we will all have bought the game :)
