Reminds me of a website I found once called:-
"How to light a barBQ in 3 seconds"
The site had videos and stills of all the attempts.
The idea was to build a BBQ and light one bit of coal, the get some Liquid Oxygen [Lox] in a saucepan on the end of a long pole and drop it in!!!!
The whiteouts in the videos were impressive.

They said that they had a few accidents before the use of the long pole!!!!

I wish I could find the URL again!

Where to get liquid nitrogen?
Maybe my local corner shop has some...!

That thing about the barbecue Dai was talking about... I saw something about that at: http://ghg.ecn.purdue.edu/~ghg/
Would that be the URL you're looking for?

How to get LN2:

Go to school called Belmont Academy.

Bribe irresponsible chemistry teacher called "Mr McKell" to give you a thermos full of it.

Take to your PC, and experiment.

No,really the way to do it is to get some nitrogen and compress it so much it forms a liquid. Need specialist equipment, though....

DarkAngel, thank you very much, I've been trying to find that URL again for over a year!!!!!!

I love the Vapourized $2.88 Grill sequence !!

I think that this should be compulsory viewing for all you fire raisers out there.

Dai

PS I must say again thankyou DarkAngel, you've made my year!!!!!!!!!

if you use liquid notrogen you better be willing to trash your computer....

because after half an hour the air around the LN2 will freeze the air and little droplets will form on your motherboard causing it too short and generally blow up :D

so beware!!

although there is a german company that have come up with a way of keepign a system at a steady -90C :D :D hope you've got the £10,000 to spare :D

You can get Liquid Nitrogen from BOC gases the best way to use it is to get a water cooling block and pass the Liquid Nitrogen through it in small shots. otherwise the waterblock will ****ter

I used to work for BOC delivering liquid nitrogen in small quantities from a transit van.
The service was called "Cryospeed".
Think I have seen the service on the road about 12-18 months ago so try 'phoning BOC and see if they still do it.
