I currently have a Asus A7V 266 motherboard.I am thinking about an upgrade to the cpu but am not sure if i can fit an athlon xp chip and what the mobo will sustain,considering its up to xp 2000.

Can anybody help me out.

Plz help me with this one cause i dont want to buy an xp chip until i know if and wot my motherboard will support,also whats the best cooler to go with the new xp chips.

ASUS A7V-E on KT133 from http://www.digit-life.com/articles/asusa7ve/ I dont think so as only with KT133A can you even get a 266 athlon as me I think you will need a new motherboard

If your motherboard is revisions 1.05 and you have the 1007 bios you should be able to run an XP check out http://www.amdmb.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=102780 :cool:
