As far as I can tell these are pretty good scores, any thoughts?

3DMArk 2001 SE: 19200
" " '03: 6400

Machine Specs:
WinXP Pro
Pentium 4C 2.8mhz Northwood, O/C'd to 3.4mhz
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
512meg Crucial DDR400 Dual-channel (running on 5:4 divider), timings 2.5,3,3,6.
Sapphire ATI 9800 Pro, O/C'd 400/370

Temps (idle-load), 'board/case 26-32, CPU 28-36.

System appears to be stable when running 3dmark01/03, PCmark and Prime95.

Any good? Also, I will have another 512meg ram going in shortly - how much difference will this make to the scores?

Thanks! ;)

Well I had:

A64 3200+ @ 2.2Ghz
Asus K8VSE Deluxe
2 x 512 OCZ EL-DDR PC3500
Sapphire 9800

With the card overclocked to Pro speeds I got @ 6050 in 03. So your score looks pretty good to me. Would be good with an X800XT. (~11000 with my X800 pro). Haven't run the 01 benchmark in a while so I couldn't tell you what it would get in that.

P4 3.06GHz @ 3.34, Sapphire ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. I get 6200 in '03.

I got 12072 with a softmodded X800pro :)

Is there a softmod out now?
The only way I had read about getting the full pipelines from a Pro was by scraping some of the packaging away from the core and making some connections on it.
If there is a softmod could you provide some information/links on it?

Guide and files Here (http://paddy007uk.freeservers.com/VGAbios/ATI%20RADEON%20x800%20Pro%20VIVO%20FLASH%20GUIDE.h tm)

X800Pro ViVos are XTs with 4 pipelines disabled and lower clocks :)

Im not sure about normal X800pros tho.

similar spec's to mine, i needed to break 250fsb to make 20k, thats a decent 01 score to say your running a ram divider.

on 03 420 MHz/378 MHz i get ~6500

so i would be happy :)

Just a black Lian Li case and flat panel monitor. Nothing much to see. No LED's, no water set-up. How do I post a pic anyway?

Only problem is with benchmarks is that some older rigs can out perform newer rigs on older benchmarks as they were optimised to run those benchmarks.

That is why a 9800pro can kill a 6600gt in 3dmark01 but the later ones it doesnt look good. That is why i dont like using benchmarks a lot

Benchmarks are really only used as a tool to see if improvements have been made after a tweak.
You could run them against other systems, but you are only trying to optimise your system.
Just upgraded my system and am currently downloading '03, so will post later. :)

And here I am posting after frying my VGA.

Took all precautions when building and card no longer runs properly.

Funny green graphics and green screen on quicktime?

Mmmmm.

Bugger.
