If that's your score, I think overclocking should be forgotten about , as it sounds like your system isn't running at all well. A system of that spec should be scoring at LEAST 9000 marks, and more often up in to the 10,000 bracket.
Double check you are running all the latest drivers for your motherboard / graphics card etc before you even think about overclocking.
i dont want to sound to dum..... but where do i get new drivers for my mobo
as far as i know its a
MS 6534 ......

Anyone else know what this board might be?

so how do i find out what type of mobo it is
anyway
ok hear it is
micro star international MS 6534
now how would i go about getting new drivers for it
Micro star International is MSI, Graeme posted the URl to the site in a previous post look above to get it, then all you need to do is go into the support section and download the latest version of the correct drivers.
hay guys iam just a dum mechanic this is give in me a sore head all these numbers i dont have a clue what iam doing so iam going to forget about it .............

The reason for the low 3D Mark scores is that the system is only using SDR SDRAM & not DDR. SDR cripples a P4 and IMO intel made a big boo-boo with this chipset feature.
Drivers for this board can be found Here (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driver/dvr/spt_dvr_detail.php?UID=40%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20% 20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&NAME=MS-6534)
You aint dumb, just new to this area thats all! :)
nice one darren thanks alot ill go download the drivers
so about the SDRAM is ther anything i can do with that or am i stuk with it

Without changing the motherboard you are unfortunatly stuck with it. I did note that the board prefers PC133 SDRAM over PC100 SDRAM (worth checking to see if you are using PC133 or not), and changing to CAS2 latency might give you a marginal increase in performance but nothing to really write home about.
ok so changin the motherboard is a big step then .
it really is all just numbers and words guys i dont have a clue i just want to get more power out of my pc
but i dont even know how to do that i thot stickin in a new gf card would do
and ther is more power i can see that when playing games .
but u guys said its not hittin the 3D mark it should be at 4888 and i thot it was doing well till i started reading about ur scores
o and i got the new drivers they dont seem to be makein a diffrence the 3D mark iam getting new is 4368 but every time i run the test the mark changes
should i give in or keep going ....... :(
and about ur clutch graeme is it ur pedal its self what is stickin when u put it down
or is ur clutch slippin when ur pullin away
dose it sound as if ur engin is revin faster than ur going if it dose its the clutch its self but if ur pedal is just stickin to the flo it my be the pedal box try givein it some wd40................sorted

I think it's just the pedal that's sticking... no worries tho, my dad's pretty handy with cars so I think he sorted the same problem before on his peugeot...
