Why is it superior?
What is there that you can do on os x that a reasonably competant pc user can't do on xp?
bearing in mind that os x is made by apple for its hardware, in order to run it on some other system, for example a PC, you need an emulator, a ROM and a copy of the operating system. afaik most of this would be illegal and i've never seen an emulator supporting higher than 68040 (e.g. a powerPC mac)

part of the reason that OSX works well is that it doesn't need to have the same level of hardware support as windows.
As much as microsoft's OS is criticised, its actually an incredible feat that it is compatible with so many different computers.
Apple's OSX is only designed to run on g3 and g4 based Macs, which share similar architectures, so there's no way its going to be ported over.
oh god its about 3 i think but i cant be sure cos my pc thinks its the 4th of january so what goods the clock?
i need to stay awake all day now otherwise ill be sleeping during the day for weeks.
like i dont any way!
cheers for the info, maybe ill be able to find an over the top gui for xp or something, or ill just go back to linux, but thats almost too painful to think about, too much work for my bone idle brain, by the way ive written far too much here to be healthy.
ps ive had a go at both but what i meant wa that osX just has far slicker controls than xp, which i felt was kinda klunky, maybe just to do with the cartoon graphics
not what you can and cant do on either platform
