That's it, there's just too much to choose from... can i have some feedback on what case you lot think i should go for? It needs to be practical and have pretty good air flow(this is still supplimented by my 2 drive bays but anyway).
What cases do you lot have and why were they your choice?
this is more of a warning, i bought a cheap non branded case........ don't get one, (it was before i knew of kustom) the sides either wont go on, or are a bugger to get on, it bends easily etc etc, INVEST in something better :)
Cooler Master 201 for the mixture of drive bays. If you don't need two 3.5" bays, the 101.
Failing that, and changing tack entirely, Supermicro SC801 case. Dual 300w PSU, hot swap redundant, 2 x 3.5" bays, 11 x 5.25" bays (all external) mobo and components separated from drives with central spine, room for 8 x 90mm fans and more. The end of cooling problems for ever, you can fit windows on both sides! Will swap you one for a Cooler Master 201 and an Orchard Tower neither of which need to be brand new but should not be damaged.
Cheers ;)

Hrm, maybe something that could be modded.
I have a Pioneer DVD-ROM, an old cd-writer, and 2 coolerbays atm, tho the bays could be disposed of if the internal drive cooling was good enough, i have dual ibm 40gb 7200rpm raid drives, so they get pretty hot.
any more suggestions?
I still stay with the Lian LI PC60 or 61, nice clean lines, no curvy plastic, plenty of mod potential, good air flow, lovely. :)

I`m happy with my pc60, but I don`t think tom would want to get something the same as me.. :)
Damn! Really wanted to flame a 61, The 60 probably will be my next case, even if everyone has one. I think its the nicest case on your site, guess it shows your good taste. hehe. :)

Get the Antec 1030B! It looks good, is good quality and just all round good. You may think I have used to many goods in that sentence but I haven't. I'll admit, their could be improvments like a slide out motherboard tray... but the rest of the case makes up for the downfalls. For your two IBM HDD's you could install them in the REMOVABLE drive bays ( :) ) and install a 80mm fan in front of them to blow air across them. The snap in drive bays are a brilliant idea because it means you can install all the drives out of the case and then put the cage back in. Their is room for a fan in the top of the case but I have just made it somewhere to hide all the cables, and it works. Another good thing is that if you are constantly messing about with the inside of the pc you don't have to unscrew anything, just pull back the latch and hey presto! But if you want to ock it you can. And you don't have to worry about your drives clashing with the blackness of your case if they aint painted, because the drives are concealed along with the power and reset buttons behind a LOCKABLE door. And another good feature is that you can just slide your drives into the snap-in cage. So if you haven't already guessed, I love my case! And strongly recommend you to get it. :)

Oh yeah, i forgot, it has 4 80mm fan mounts which is plenty of cooling for the overclocker. And the case comes complete with two silent fans preinstalled. And a 300w PSU. Sheer Brilliance :)
so, tom, whats the final decision?, or
*chris tarrant mode*
what's your final answer?

don`t mock overclocked Amiga`s till you`ve tried `em :) or Macs...
And, to stir up some more guesses, the case tom is getting is none of the ones that you lot have mentioned so far !
First person to guess can have a free blue orb ! (all members of kustom PCs, their families and assosciates (that`s you , dead_one and tami :) may not enter, the judges decision is final)
In my opinion, it depends what sort of statement you're trying to make, what you're requirements are and how rich you are :D
A games machine for LAN parties then you'll be better to go for a small case (2x5.25" bays max) for easy transportation.
A bedroom computer that only you'll see then go steel, no point going expensive aluminium.
A computer in a lounge where people will see it, then go fancy aluminium to impress them <g>
Try thinking ahead to what you might get in the future. I'm getting a 6 bay case, i have 4 drives the now which'll leave 2 (look i can subtract :D) for expanding, might get a SCSI harddrive, or maybe LCD temp display, or one of those panels with easy to reach USB, sound connections.
For good (dust free) air-flow, fans in equal fans out and no little design holes on the sides lol gonna tape my up :)
As to what case Tom is getting, i think it's the Antec SX1030B <crosses fingers> :)
Marc :)
muhahahaha .. /me goes to have a word with Tami And Paul :D :D :D

James, bear in mind that neither myself or Thomas are drawing any sort of `wage` from kustom at the moment, so we`re both skint :)
Only suggestions with a suitable reason will be accepted for the competition, so don`t go listing every case we sell. :)
But yes, it is a case that is in our online store.
Ahhh ok then how about the Orchid 860? Seems reasonably cheap and doesn't look to bad, :)
James
Antex Sx1030B or Phoenix .. small for LANS .. cheap(ish) .. Antec looks v.sexy
/me notices that you've added a new section under the Cases menu :D
H-01 'Purple Button' case i reckon, cheapest case that Kustom offer with a 300W PSU.
Marc :-)

Jeesoo, look at you all scrambling over this, ok do you want a clue to inch you closer to that blue trophy of orb-ness.
I'm not getting an aluminium case, it's one of the steel cases, and my decision will be final on who wins, the first person to correctly guess and give a good reason why will get the lovley orb 8)

Erm, a loverly YY server cube perhaps?

I agree with Ross, but i believe the true reason is so you can see yourself in the mirror and preen yourself ;p
Marc :-)
One of the TH cases or a nice b0rg.
Its an AVGS mirror case because you have lots of them, they are not too dear, and they are reasonably different. Boom boom!
Sh@t!! I didn't look at Page 2 before sending the last missive - at least I've given a reasonable reason.

Ok Guys, you cant just specify an entire range of cases, if you're going to say one of the avgs cases, then specify the model, or if you don't know it, describe the one you mean, points are only awarded for a bullseye, or the little green bit around it 8)
Cmon lads, and ross, stop coming in and trying to get me to tell you what it is!
I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you 8) MWAHAHAHHA
or you could tell him. and give him a load of feckign loose change..... i was jangling all day :/
i just looked at that, and realised i'm out of order, it's all legal tender..... so next time i'm buying some hardware.... i'm paying in pennies
mwahahahahahahaheheueueueueheueueaha :)
It's the AVGS Mirror case, black, which you retail for £60 incl. VAT
WHy do they look blue in the Cases section
lol, ARGH! And I brought you coke!
Hmm how about a AVGS SC-GM01 because it looks sleek and shiny. Also it looks like aluminium from the photo I seen and expensive to ensure good quality. :)

The Senfu Computer Station Std Model because its cheap, good to work with and different and if you spill a drink over it you have a reason to buy better gear.
I also think it could be the Orchid 880B Modded because it looks nice and is very good value and because it has blowholes so it will keep things cooll......
Can I choose 2?
Special edition. Space monkey cage caseMkIII
ahhaa i guessed correct can i have my blorb...hehehhe

I think he`s going to mod a fishtank and fit the motherboard into a waterproof unit inside. and then have a watercooling system, where the tank`s water is drawn over a waterblock on the cpu.
Surely I deserve a blue orb just for being stupid? :)

that fish tank was my idea - well i remember suggesting it to you
although i dont think the fish would like the temperature of the processor
it would look kewl though
specially if you got fish that glow in UV or something and put a UV cathode in it.
i dont know if there are fish like that but it would be kewl

OK Guys none of you have said it yet. Lets see if i can set you straight.
So far clues have been:
1. It's not aluminium, it's steel
2. Your only need to look back over to see that any of the cases that have been SPECIFIED, that's not to say that one of the ranges of cases wasn't correct. Someone hit the green bit round the edge of Bullseye, it simply means that someone didn't go into enought detail <-- now that's another clue!
At the request of one or two on the IRC channel, I'm going to give the biggest hint of all.
3. It's NOT Black, I think it's far to easy to pick a black case cos they all look great straight away, I'm not following the trend, I Think that trying to make a more """conventional""" case look good is a bigger challenge, so there you go, cmon someone must be good at cluedo, or read Murder Mysteries or something, everything is there, you just have to decide who did what, with what, in what room 8)
Good Luck!

k, i think it has to be the TH-1101 Case, because itse beige, steel. Looks o.k but nothing special as you like, so you can work on it lots and make it special.... Also got lots of airflow possibilitys with 4 fan mounts and good build quality. Did i win??? :)

Well you ain't quite sherlock, more like hastings, I'm sure if i said i didn't want a door you'd have hit the bullseye which was a TH-1200.
Coppersulphate hit the green bit, and scores a blue orb!
Congrats

luv yer case, but everyone gets black cases, to make a white case look good is the true goal in this life!!!
(ALEoooYAAAAAAaaaaa.....)
When do you tell us what you're doing with that new case :D .
i recon it could be a mac G4 case.. it looks sooo cool, and i havmt heard of anyone having modded it or anything! i think it would rock witha window, some bloe holes, a couple of cathodes.. the thing would glow!!!
