trust me, if you know how to change a HDD in a PC you can do this. its so simple. just take the old one out, put the new one in. no software to worry about or anything.

I'll probably end up doing it as soon as the warranty runs out

if you have a lot of money you can buy a sky plus box on ebay for about £125 new

Don't you have to pair the viewing card and box?

no, your card will work on any sky+ box as long as its been acivated by sky+.

the next propsed version of Sky Plus will include a much bigger hard drive, it is also expected to support hi def ahead of the 1st sky channel in high def mid next year which is most likely to be a sky sports or possibly an events channel.

We can expect the drives to get bigger each version of sky plus in line with the fall in disk prices / growth in disk size, I'd leave my sky+ alone and get the new one!
