Sounds like a neat idea,
what kind of coffee would you be serving?
and do you plan baking your own buns in the oven, or is that just a thing you do at home :D

I had a good time on Saturday, and Emily was impressed with all the PC's when we popped in on Sunday, she's now saying to folk that she "went to Daddy's computer club and met a girl called Samantha who has her own computer.......can I have one please!?!?!"

(Wife not impressed though :( )

Cheers
Dai

In Ayr?

Is it going to be as popular as the last cyber-cafe type place in Ayr that shut down years ago? :)

I dunno. If like only 20 people turn up to a Kustom LAN why would people pay monthly fees to play games and sit on the net?

And if you're going for network gaming wouldn't you have to have enough people there all at the same time who want to play the same games? And even then wouldn't you just get the same handful of sad people that are there all day and play CS all the time and just beat everyone? Yay. Fun.

I dunno about it. Maybe I've missed something here!

Though making it like easy everything would be good if you could do the CD-R thing like someone said. But then, why not just go to easy everything for cheaper? :)

Oh c'mon Dai get the poor girl a PC. You could give her that one of yours and start from scratch. :D

How is easy everything cheaper?
You have to get up to glasgow first, thats 5-7£ for a start.
Then you pay £1 per hour, unles you go in at a stupid time of morning.

So 5 hours there is min of 10-12£

five hours with us is included in the monthly fee of 10£
a further five hours is then only 7.50?
That seems to make us cheaper.

Plus the connection speed will be higher.
Easy everything only have a 2 meg line between 400 pcs, I know cos i was one of the team that set up Glasgow
Also, the pcs are only hp e-pcs, not good for gaming :-(

Ok sorry I admit I didn't think 100% about the easyeverything comment! :)

Though by coincidence, I totally forgot about this thread and I've just come back from Glasgow and was at easyeverything! :D I was in Glasgow for the day anyway, it's not likely that you would go there specifically so the prices wouldn't be like you said.
Anyway at easyeverything you don't have to pay £10 a month whether you use their services or not with access always being under your £1.50 (and don't knock going there at stupid times in the morning! ;))

Besides it's not the best of comparisons (definitely not with those e-pcs) as they're not a gaming place, plus the easyeverything part was only part of my entire comment!

I just thought not many people would pay-as-you-go never mind a subscription to play network games that
they can have more fun for free with a group of friends.. etc plus all the stuff
I said before :)
