I have an epox 8kha+, athlon xp 1700+, geforce 2 mx400, 256mb ddr ram.
My 3d mark 2001SE score is 2600.
I thought this was a bit weak for my system.
One idea, it does not do all the tests, it says they're not supported, does 3d mark take this into account or could it be the reason of crap score?

geforce mx's from different brands seem to vary - on a similar specced machine, i've seen various mx cards get anything from 1400 marks up to about 3300 (no overclocking involved)

3dmark 2001 should miss the pixel shader tests with a gforce mx400 card, and 2600 sounds about normal.

3d mark and 3d mark SE gives different scores, SE is gives a lower score

Methinks a Radeon 8500 or the like is what u want to even up the video side of things :D

IMHO that score is a bit low. i got almost the same setup (diff. mobo) and i get 4000+ with no overclocking.

And i got a higher score on SE than i did on the original. :D

bulldog, what make of GeForce s MX is it? Because as Graeme says, the GeForce's 3D Mark score varies greatly depending on what manufacturer makes the board. For example:
Sparkle cards are usually vastly insuperior to Gainward cards ;).
