If people search the underground enough there is a pre release of 2002.

Ok, a little inside info. 3DM2k3 will be totally different from 2k1. It will have a whole new GUI and the demo's will make you go 'wow!'. if you think DoomIII or UT2k3 are good, you will soon be thinking again.
3DM2k3 (yes, 2003, this doesnt mean it will be released next year, it's just a new fashion to have the name one year ahead at the moment) will be DX9 compatible.
Ok, a release date. First we will have to wait for M$ to release DX9. Next we will have to wait for the testers in Finland to finish testing the code. There is a lot of it. The best we can say is, "it's out when it is ready".
Be prepared, it looks amazing!
