Here's my latest score after a fresh install of Win98SE which is supposed to be the fastest platform for benchmarks:

Systems specs are as follows:

AMD AYHJA 1.4 @ 1.6GHz [10 x 160, 1.90 volts].
POWERCOOLER PCH137 WITH 70mm TURBOFAN.
ARTIC SILVER II THERMAL COMPOUND.
NON-CONDUCTIVE COOL SHIM.
EPOX EP-8K7A+ MOBO.
256Mb CRUCIAL DDR [2 x 128Mb]
THERMALTAKE RAMSINKS.
GAINWARD POWERPACK GF3 @ 210/512 [Won't go higher]
LIAN LI PC2 ALU CASE
D-LINK 10/100 DFE-530TX NETWORK ADAPTER.

YADA, YADA ..........

For an air-cooled system I'm pleased with this score but I'm after an ASUS V8200 as they seem to clock much higher so that should push the score up to 7k or more - so I'm selling the Gainward! :eek:

well I got 2089 before, and i now get 2149, hardly even worth my time downloading, good thing I got Dead_one to do it.

does 3dmark2001 give points easier?Or somethin as I have 1.2Ghz Athlon, 1Gb Ram(2x512mb DIMM) GeForce 2 MX400 64Mb 32mbSD and 32Mb DDr and I can only get 3790points. where is mwa going wrong..a

2001 is optimized for the hardware features of GF3 cards, your score is a normal MX score.Also remember my CPU is at 1590 where yours is at 1200.
