i finally bought a ps2 on sunday and haven't touched my beloved pc in 5 days!! what a fcuking console! no stutters, no diferent graphic levels, no hassle, NO MICROSOFT, no having to share a mouse infact need i go on? ok i have spent £380 on it so far but i luv it.

I'm waiting for The Cube, the black 'un and a couple of wireless controllers will go poific with my SV24, which I just hooked up to my stereo today, volume is good.

PS2 (Sh*te) Nothing so far will compete with the X-Box as fas as faw Graphics The X-Box will Prevail The Game Cube will fall The PS2 will survive but i think X-Box will consume over half of the gamers market it has some good games as of myself i speak from experince as i have 1 they are brill

(The only bad point is its made by microsoft so expect it to crash once in a while And it does come with a large price tag)

weeeell, considering the fact that it has dived in japan and europe, and only just kept its head up in usa, i think not. long live the pc, and ssx tricky(ps2)

Have you seen the technical specs of an Xbox???

I've seen PCs for cheaper that can do the same job, but better and faster! :p

erm, have you seen the tecch specs of my pc? or yours, or anybody elses? most games machines put the xbox to shame. and can you play counterstrike on an xbox? no, i think not. also, i hear the mockney boys buying one(grrrhhhhheeuughh)

Nintendo are really trying this time, and the boys in purple will always have a loyal following in the hardcore market :)

hmm I think all the consoles are going to come, be amazing for a few short months, and then slowly, slowly fade away. Take the nintendo for example.

However, the PC will stay and be good, and anyways - if the games good simply get the game, fire up an emulator, and providing the pc's ok it will 0wn the console world.....

oh and the reason the xbox looks so smooth/impressive etc is because a: the screen size is 512x384 (most pcs run at 1024x768 as you should know),B: it only runs at 16bit colour, andC: it doesn't have much memory, which means that micro$oft have to make their software EFFICENT (have they heard that word before??? :rolleyes: ).

still nothing can beat nicking your little brothers (expensive) ps2 games, running them on an emulator, and getting a framerate of 120fps on metal gear 2 - AT 1024x768x32!!! :D

You can get PS2 emulators??? where????? saw somewhere a usb adaptor to let u plug PS pads into ur ps, with full dual shock support, so if it all really works ok might do that instead of getting a PS2
