I know it's getting on a bit, but does anyone still play operation flashpoint, I just bought it, gold edition and the new unofficial 'Between the lines' addon.

Am I the only one who still plays it?

i play it with a few of my Homeworld clan members BiB (http://www.bestinbritain.org)

i find it a great game let down, due to gamespy mutilplayer wise.........coops are best, but flying around blowing mates up has its moments too........i usually play between 5 - 10 a few nights a week , name on gs is ZePplin[BiB] so if you want a game, im usually in the everon room ........

personaly i wouldnt go near it online with a 56k .....gamespy dedects pings next to your name and 56k'ers get treated like ****.....shame really but thats discrimation for you......
Although a member of our clan is running 56k ,you can play coops but not deathmatch or catch the flag......go play the single for a while and give me a tinkle on here when you can shoot straight..... ;)

Mainly playing moh:aa at the moment, although I still play far too much CS, I'm sure it's not healthy. Need to start getting practise in for i10, heh.

I bought Operation Flashpoint when it first came out. I installed it and spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why the graphics were so average on such a hyped game. Upon finding out that those were as good as it gets I added it to my CD wallet never to be heard from again or since.

Oh comon it aint that bad!
I realise the graphics aren't brilliant, but the landscape it so destroyable and the game it versatile. You can drive along the ground then go up in the air in a helicopter.
I'm hoping that a game i read about 2 years ago called "rock" comes out. They are going to allow you to have wars in a solar system, which you can fly from planet to planet, and there can be online wars raging on every planet etc.. you get hwere i'm going right? :)

If you like blowing up levels you should play some red faction. That game is the most impressive FPS I have ever played for that reason alone. You fire a rocket at a wall and a hole big enough to walk through to the ajoining room opens up!.

Well you either love it or hate it the ppl that hate it either cant run it on ther machine or they cant stay alive more then 5 mins the key to it is stick with grops use cover and use the FLANKS the ai is smart but not that smart to relise your flanking him also trick for the tanks keep well hidden and nme wont see you till your up his ass with the cannon..i dont really play much of the campaign if im bored ill make my own mission in minutes and play that.

in reply to toms post you should deffinatly check out homeworld..its getting on for 2 years old now and its still my favourite game.

its even up there with my all time fave games like mario kart, gran turismo, and ff vii and elite2 amongst others

eve and earth and beyond will also be worth looking out for in the next couple of months

Ma OpFlash rules i love it....i first played it and thought it was pants...took me to the 3rd mission to actually shoot anyone..ive had it since its come out and am still playing it....the grafics aint the best but its the gameplay that counts ....theres nothing quite like pimping a tank from ontop of a hill at 1000 meters..meahahhaha

Homeworld is a great game too...would advise anyone to get it..specially as you can get it on budget now

Cant wait for homeworld 2 to come out...should be well cool...But untill it comes out ill just keep playing OPFLash, or maybe Medal of honour its out today..Woots
