Right i have completed all the basic training levels and now need to be assigned to a squad, it gives two squads for the next mission but in wont let me do anything past listing the squads, and what the mission briefing is, it just sends me back to the main menu for the report to duty section.
Any ideas on why this is?

You need to connect to one of the online servers playing the Mount map.Once you've won a complete round on the team you're with,you should be told you've passed.Although sometimes there's so many people playing that some pass requests get lost,so you'll need to keep playing :)

The thing is it wont connect to a server! i have also tried putting it into the command line in the shortcut, but no rejoice, and to be honest i dont want to use gamespy! any thoughts on wether the all seeing eye will bring out support for this game?

its like gamespy but better u can connect to servers without being in the game.

Then basically pick a server with the mission you want to do and do it :)

Note: To complete missions you have to be online, the easiest way to do it, is pick the server where the team your own has double the players on the other team, that way you shouldnt lose

This was solved weeks ago, just waited till the eye got support for it, like i am also waiting for them to support bf1942, coz that game Rocks.

When i logged in yesterday, a support patch or something popped up for BF1942, try logging mate and seeing what it does for you

YAY, here we go, i got college work to be done but now looks it aint gonna happen, no more trying to connect to servers only finding out there al full :)
