Just thought i'd say the graphics look stunning. Also Thomas must be excited as he is meant to play it so much. Why doesn't thomas reply to anything. IS he dead? Did graeme kill him and use his clothes for case MODs. New denim cases.

i agree, the graphics in this one are gr8, but the guns have gone all futuristic e.g. Sniper Rifle fires a bolt of lightening :/ it dosnt just dosnt have the same UT experience as the old one.

ive got the leaked 15day trial (1gb big :/)-its full of bugs so you cant judge the AI and loads of other things but you get an idea of guns, levels, gameplay etc etc

Yes well i bought this game and it really does not feel like the previous one. i mean the graphics are good but they took out assault mode and overall the AI intelligence is pretty sh*t. I mean the bots usually camp or stand still while shooting. The guns ARE too futuristic, and they removed classics such as the enforcer etc. The game is also too short, I finished it in 1 night.

But the multiplayer is better than ever, the maps have much more thought to them - its not possible to snipe anymore.

Retail version is bugged to hell. A lot of users ar reporting that they cannot even get the game to load unless in safe mode with GF4 cards that have been tweaked. I can see a very big patch being made available very very soon, or there will be a lot of users out there baying for blood.

The best thing about it is the game with the ball (cant remember what it was called) that is class - except you can never get the AI to pass :rolleyes:

yeah i have the full game now, and it is good. Made even better with Gamespy Arcade dont having any CD-Key cheaks :D ;)

i really havnt taken to this game like i thought i would

ok it looks nice but sometiems its actually really hard to see people and there is just something about it that i'm not quite liking

will just have to see what doom 3 has to offer
then if it doesnt please then wait even longer for quake 4

no game seems to take my fancy at the mo
mgiht go back and play NWN

Sure you can. Can't remember the map name, but the only CTF level on the demo. It's basically Facing Worlds, but with a dfferent surface. Two towers, to snipe from and a gauntlet in the middle. Only difference is that there are two side passages you can take as well.

I'm very glad it works on my GF4 mx 64MB. Bot only works, but looks really good as well. Water effects are superb! Need a new card tho hee hee.

Overall, the game has changed yeah. It feels more like Quake 3 Arena - which was crap - and is no where near as good as the original! It's a shame. They should have kept similar textures (the new one feels too bulding sorta) and in your face. And I don't like the new outdoor maps. I prefer the arena style ones. :( Gonna go and play UT to make me feel better :)

ive been an avid hardcore Unreal Tournament player, in Div 1 of jolt, Barrys and also played in the Euro Cups, so was looking forward to UT2k3 but omg what a disappointment :///


its so like Q3 its shamefull, its full of bugs :(

weapons are gay etc etc... and even on my Ge-Force 4 ti4600 40-80 fps at 1024, is poor. considering 1280 on UT and 200fps :/

such a could have been game... but now is reconsiled to poor attempt but didnt quite make it. nice graphics shame they forgot the most important thing,.....

I'm sorry but that is opinion not fact. Some people have frame rate, problems others do not. The weapons need to be mastered just like in the original. Okay so you don't have the same tools, well learn to use new ones. The maps have to be mastered in a different way. Many U players simply ca't cope with the new maps, they are very diffrent, and they are not good players in this latest round, other people are the opposite way around.

Yes theres obviously gonna be patches (and yes theres a few places they are needed) but this a very graphicaly powerful game.

Yes it is very much similar to Quake, but that is the biggest seller of them all. I'm sure this will outsell the original.

I like the game so far, not to the extent of the first but it's OK. The similarity to Quake 3 is what lets it down though. The fact it was different to Quake was the big thing for me. It felt better. Now it feels like Quake 3 :/ Still alright though. I'm enjoying learning new weapons as you say - the charging of the lightening gun annoys me though hee hee :)

its more spammy now than ever :(

all the n00bs run about with flak, coz the damage is all buggered up, but the patch will fix most of the weapons glitches, from lowering flak damage, fixing shock(wider beam :D ) to fixing the fps in magma insise the towers etc. then the game may be better.

I have also noticed when flying off the sky scrapers You can land on an invisable ledge and run rings round the sky scraper. Can do same in the volanco based one.

I've been suiciding off of other mpas but can't find any other ledges yet.

there in is the problem the game looks pretty, but no game play, u double dodge jump and hit ur head off the bloody roof, or overhanging obsticle poor design of levels for the main part :(

unreal 2003 is great only played it on my m8s pc , real good .. my lappy wont run it . but new rig is comming monday ( from kustom .. who else :P )

i dont know if there is allready one , but do people want to start an online clan for unreal 2003 ???

i think u should check out Q net there are fewer and fewer ut2k3 clans they are all going back to original Ut coz the game play is better :)

UT 2003 is a fantastic game. People who head back to the old game as simply those who cannot cope with the new style of play or are having lock ups and crashes.

yes i agree the graphics for 2k3 re fabulous, but the game play is dreadfull,


i) ok, dodge and oops hit head on ceilling, wall, post etc
ii) flak way too powerfull
iii) Ion Cannon - WHY???
iv) Shock, harder to use, and less powerfull,
v) no sniper so use primary fire for shock ;)
vi) Rocket launcer, can we say Quake 3? hello

pfft if u ask most on Q net, its back to good old UT, for great games now all the n00bs are playing UT2k3.... so if u go online for UT its all decent players and very few lamers again, :)

Your so far from the truth with that, Its unbelievable.

Firstly, UT is still full of cheaters, FACT ! Most top clans use them FACT ! No server is secure in UT, FACT. Ill agree the basic gameplay in UT is better but the graphics are truely ugle and the movement is very limiting.

The only people who are still playing UT are cheaters, People who don't know better and people who don't have the hardware to run UT2003 smoothly.
