Hey guys, dunno if any of you remember i was buyin dat sweeeeet '02 gixxer 600....well....

Kinda stacked it into a roundabout, and, by the looks of it, a lot of other stuff too. I dunno wat exactly cause i dont remember any of the crash.

Does anyone know where i can get specific replacement parts, like im not just talking new fairing, indicators etc, i mean like fairing brackets, the more specific stuff.

Any sites would be well appreciated, really need to get this thing sorted lol!

Cheers

Lol yeah exactly that, i was ridin home wiv my mate on the back, got to this humpback bridge (in the rain) and to my knowledge, i wasnt speeding, cause i didnt know the roads, and it was really poor weather, then like, i blinked and i was in hospital, so i have no idea wat happened lol!

But im ok, recovering from concussion, almost gone, but my arms a bit mashed, feels really stiff and hurts like hell sometimes.

Just gotta get my bike back on the road now, not sure if its repaireable or not yet, but im definately not giving up on the two wheel experiance lol :D

think for brackets you will have to stump for new ones cos all the bikes in the breakers have mashed fairings. i hope you like the streetfighter look, cos suzuki plastic is silly money....

i had to replace a lower panel on my gixer.... it cost nearly 400 quid plus decals....

If you ever need any more decals you can have some I have spare from an old air fix kit I got but never completed when I was young... I think it was a spitfire if you're interested :D

As Slamdog say's buying new fairings will cost a fortune, you can get replica fairings but they generally look naff. Breakers sometimes have unmarked fairing panels and as it's such a popular bike you might get lucky. There was a breakers who specialised in fairings but I've can't remember the name  For the other parts try using one of those part search websites/services, saves you phoning around the country ;)

hi Jameen

Glad to see your alright. I came off my pedal bike last year very badly- almost broke my neck and my hands where skinless. I still don't know what happened, just one on those things in life.

But remember bikes can be fixed and repleaced we can't.

http://freespace.virgin.net/richard.harrowing/newsurfers/uk_breakers.htm (not sure how upto date it is)

i did have a card from one i used but cant find it now this has a good list of breakers on it

might be able to get parts from some of them and then more from other might have to do some painting yourself but might save some cash not harm in trying

when i used breakers was for a front rim for my wifes 125 she got cut off by lorry and had no where to go so she mounted kerb and wrote of the rim :( was only 30quid in P&P for 2nd hand rim

which was lucky

could also try here http://www.speednspares.co.uk/Breaking%20Suzuki.htm or http://www.m1salvageandbreakers.co.uk/suzuki.php

Totally missed this thread! I was thinking the other day of posting in the old thread to ask how the 600 was going!

There's never a good time for an involuntary dismount, but with someone on the back is my worst nightmare.

Hope you are OK. Get the MCN classifieds, and phone round the breakers for fairing assemblies. If brackets etc buckled, maybe bite the bullet and buy genuine spares.

Of course, there is always the option of digging a little deeper, buying a carbon fairing and getting a race paint job.........

A nice GSV-R paint job could look ideal!

Damn- an off at any speed is nasty- but then your catching some air at the same time

Hope you get yourself sorted soon.
If you need Decals there's a few places that make them, not official Suzuki but they look the same and probabyl cost half as much.

A site a mate runs is www.powercuts.org.uk
Not sure how much he'll charge but it'll no doubt cost less than the authentic ones.

Or you could try Ebay- they seem to have a huge range of Decals going at any given time. :)

Thanks for ur concern and help guys, havent had a chance to get much done, but have got someone from the local bike shop to come down tomorrow and give me a quote for the damage, or if the frames gone then tell me that too!

Kinda hopin he says its time to get a new bike, cause i fink this is gonna be a lot of hassle and money, and i just wanna ride thru the summer! May have do get a ninja or find a bargain bike :D
