I've still got a real soft spot for TOCA2 but we've all got to move on sometime I suppose.

What recommendations have people got for non-F1 and non-Rally type driving games on the PC?

Yep TOCA 2 was a sweet game and i am so looking forward to the release of TOCA Race Driver (looks Sweet) next month as well as NFS Hot Pursuit 2 at the end of this month but if you want a game thats out now i personaly liked NFS Porsche Challenge (out on budget release) and possibly GTA3.

Yep its due out on the 15th of November.

I tried the demo a couple of months ago and thought it was great, the car dammage looks superb although the handeling wasnt great but that should all be sorted in the final release.

Yeah check out gamesdomain as they have it or just try a google search but it is an "unofficial" demo and 62Mb download but it still runs fine

that unofficial demo is not even close to what the final release is like. That was 'leaked' as an early preview, and I believe they've improved performance and added further detail and better sound to it now. Still no official demo tho...

my old favorites are colin mccrae rally 2 and rally trophy.
the new need for speed hp2 looks and plays awesome .

I still love the original NFS. Best handling physics (especially the RWD Porsche) in a PC driving game IMHO. I played a beta of Live For Speed recently and again liked the physics.

G do u have a link to the unofficial demo of the new toca game...GTA3 is ok for a driving game ...BUT as far as rally there is only 1 ..rally championship extreme..

PS...how much is the clear case in shop window...passed by other day...considering whats happened u guys seemed to have setup quick

hows about the new for pc anyway rallisport challenge the demo is for download now and theirs also need for speed hot pursuit 2 both look good and play well. :rolleyes:

NFS Hot Pursuit 2 is cool, I got sent a copy from the US to test and its a good load of fun, runs nice and smooth too

Yep NFS HP2 is great fun and a good laugh online. It does get a bit frustrating at times but overall its great fun.

Just cant belive that they delayed toca till next year :(

I tried the Rallisport demo and cant say that i thought it was that great but might look for a demo of cmr2 and see how that is as its meant to be quite good.
