Benchmarking UT2004??

Hey all, has anyone else found that the benchmarks in ut2k4 have disappeared? or is it just me? in 2k3 they were in ut2003/system/benchmarks/benchmark.exe
(or something similar), but , for the life (and GREP) of me i cant find one in 2k4. :-( is it just me?

:( Thanks mate, unfortunately the solution on there requires ut2003, and i took mine in and traded it fro 2k4 :( There must be an easier way though.......

only other option is to d/load FRAPS from:

http://www.fraps.com/

install it and run it in the background whilst playing a death match, then exit game and you'll see your fps results.

yes, true, and i suppose that fraps will be more comparable to other machines. Still, its a bit dissapointing that even with a whole dvd to play with they didnt think to add the BM suite :( Still, thanks m8

i know that if you bought ut2k4 then there was a voucher to claim £10 back if you had bought ut2k3 as well.

although needed to send of cd1 to prove that u had bought it

ok...i found a way to run a timedemo for UT2004...

lol its not hard to do the UT2004 benchmark : C:\UT2004\System\benchmark.exe (where c:\ is your hard drive letter) :cool:

errr i do have the full version :) And DON,T have the demo version version installed ;)

Do you people have a folder in UT2004 called benchmark? If you do i strongly doubt the fact that you don't have the benchmark.exe in the system folder. If you are positive yuo don't email me at digit87bjd@hotpop.com and i can send you the benchmark.exe file. Its only 78.8 K so fine for dial up users :cool::D

Yea, i have the benchmarkm aswell, i have the full version, it is there, in UT2004\system. The Benchmark only has stuff in it, after you run the benchmark.

I was asking about this in another thread. Do you get your UT2003 disc back or is all UT2003 content ported to 2004 so you dont need the game anymore?

i can big up the ut2004 benchmark..ive got it in my C:\Games\UT2004\System folder....ill run it and see what happens...ooooo the excitment :D

I run the benchmark exe file and im given what appears to be a flyby but nothing happens unless I move around the map. then during the bot match I have to move and shoot again manually.

Is this not suppose to be an automatic benchmark? or am I expected to manually move the player during the flyby/bot match?

I'm sorry if i had a go at people who did not have the benchmark.exe file. I have investigated the situation and its seems a bit random if benchmark.exe is installed or not. I have installed the game on many occasions to find benchmark.exe has not installed :( I have emailed epic games about this and still have no replies. Is that even the right people to email about it? do u really expect epic to give u £10 for ur UT2k3 then send u your disk back?

come on be serious...just copy the CD to your harddisk, send them it and voiila u have 2k3 and 2k4 plus an extra £10
