i dont really know much about benchmarking, but i thought i try it to see what i got , my score was 19620 , just wondering if this would be good for the followin specs
MSI K8T NEO FISR mobo
A64 3200+
Ati radeon 9800 128mb iceq
2x512 Crucial Ram
does anyone kno the most scored on 3dmark01 se ?
Cheers Matty J
yep great score, would expect that with your setup. :)
Matty - basically the same spec and was 19,500 stock.
Used ATi Tool and cranked it up just over 21K, so shows you the headroom you are likely to have... :) :)
13827 was my score... I assume the future mark benchmarks gpu rather than your system.

33,484 by Macci using a RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition running at 715 MHz engine clocks and 639 MHz memory clocks, an overclocked IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 Processor @4GHz or so, 1 GB of DDR SDRAM & special cooling.

konai_konai666 I had to tweak to even get 7160.. Might a voltmod increase marks on a FX 5200?..
Damn you crack me up

I ahev always been unlucky with benchmarks and GFX cards. Last year, around this time, i bought an fx5800 which was fantastic, but then they released the nv35 core, so i was a tad disappointed after spending 230 quid on it. Got myself a 9800se and soft modded it to 9800pro, and running it overclocked.
In 3dmark 2001 i recently got 17060 and in 3dmark 2003 got 6075. Not too sure whether they are reasonable scores for my set up, but oh well.
Just read a review on the nVidia 6800 and it looks very impressive so i may well be going back to nVidia in the near future.

For your setup & particularly those gfx card clocks that is low.
An XP3200+ (2.2GHz) & a 9800 Pro with std clocks (380/340) gets about 17,500.
